Older Hitachi 146GB U320 SCSI Hard Drive firmware

Hi Folks,

Looking for a firmware update for Ultra 320 scsi 146GB Hard Drive.....cant seem to find one on the hp support site the Hard Drive model is Hitachi HUS153014VLl3800 and the present F/W is HPC3 I would like to get HPC4 but anything above that would be a great help......can it be purchased in someway if it is no longer supported...........Regards

In what kind of system this disk is running?

I have this file HUS153014C4.frm, but only in a very special format.

The drives are not in any system at the moment Torsten, i was hoping to setup and old g5 to do the firmware update on them, they came from an Integrity 9000.....the model number is correct and i also saw the page that you put in your reply......do you have the actual file ?

I found this only in the format for the Integrity servers in format for ODE (offline diagnostic environment).

Maybe I can find the link again.

Can you find a product number like A1234A on the drives?

Yes Torsten there is the part number AD206A (AD206-69001) which is listed but not for the hitachi model that file will support mostly Seagate Models........I am not sure if it would do the Hitachi any idea Torsten?

 copy the files to FAT formatted USB stick and add the attached file (remove the JPG extension).

I hope this would work.

Thanks Torsten, I downloaded that earlier and another very similar to it but although it lists the AD206A number none of them list the Hitach model........do you think it would still update it? I never noticed any JPG Ext? to be honest i am doubtful but i will give it a try...........thanks for your advice so far........Appreciated

I spoke about the file I attached in the earlier post above (rigt hand side) HUS153014C4.frm.jpg ‏866 KB , due to the limitations I renamed it to *.jpg, because attach doesn't work for the original *.frm file.
