Copy CPG is consumed the capacity Storage?

Dear All,

I'm very new to this Storage 3PAR, so want I want to ask is

are the copy CPG also consumed the capacity of the Storage? because I already calculate before when I create a new vv that it is will only used only until 80% of the capacity in full used vv, but the space is reaching more than 80%. because before I never use the Copy CPG and now I'm using the Copy CPG is it the one who is increasing the capacity used from the Storage?

Re: Copy CPG is consumed the capacity Storage?

Hi PutraDerry22,

Yes, The Copy CPG can consume storage capacity.
A Copy CPG is used to store Snapshots and Virtual Copies of a Virtual Volume in HPE 3PAR storage.
A Snapshot or Virtual Copy of a Virtual Volume (VV) is stored in the Copy CPG when it is created. Data can be copied at a point in time without having to duplicate the entire volume.

Hope this helps.
