Re: Creating a fabric with Storageworks 4/64 switches

Re: Creating a fabric with Storageworks 4/64 switches
Is a fabric license included as standard on a 4/64, whilst the trunking license is included when you buy the power pack license? i notice the powerpack give you an extended fabric, i could not see anywhere how you buy a fabric license, hence my question is a fabric license included as standard on the switch?
Thanks
Jeff

Re: Creating a fabric with Storageworks 4/64 switches
Here is the right quickspecs:
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12482_div/12482_div.HTML
If you do a "licenseshow" on the switch you can see which ones you have already.
Under the section in the quickspecs called "Step 3 â Optional Software" there is no "fabric license" to buy.
Leads me to say that fabric license is included.
Trunking license you can buy by itself or you can by the powerpack and get all the goodies.
