It seam to be that is sending error for a bad cache battery. The Enclosure model is a 2200.
I have a document , Replacement and external cache battery (ECB). part number EK-M2ECB-IA. A01.
My question is Have I to run the FRUTIL utility to set the expiration date for the cache ?
Somebody have the documnentation for ECB FRUTIL support.
Have I to take some special care with this kind of configuration attending that It have a single controller and a cache battery.
Thank you

SolutionYou will need to the Field Replacement Utility (FRUTIL) to swap the battery. Doing so will automatically set the expiration time and date for the battery.
There should be no extra steps based on your configuration. When you run FRUTIL, it prompts you to put the new battery in place, THEN remove the old battery. As long as you follow along, you should have no problem.

Re: ECB replacement HSG80 single controller configuration
Yep...done this heaps of time...just follow the HP's procedure on ECB replacement as it says and you should have no probs...in brief as re-stated by Steven.

Saket.
