HGS80 Array Controller Shard disk over to connections
The connection names are S1-10 and S1-12.
I have a unit with D5. in Raid R5
I have shard the disk with fowling command
Add unit D5 R5 part=1 enable= S1-10, S1-12
If I list show D5
It shows the access = S1-10, S1-12
The problem is I can see the disk in S1-12 connection that means the server with a separate disk.
But it will not show it on the S1-10 connection.
Please help

Re: HGS80 Array Controller Shard disk over to connections
Possibly a zoning issue in your switch(es).

Re: HGS80 Array Controller Shard disk over to connections
I have not created any Zones on the HSG80.
If I need to share unit over 2 connection Do I need to create Zone.

Re: HGS80 Array Controller Shard disk over to connections
Is this "show conn"output showing s1-10 host-id and adapter-id correctly.check it with the HBAs WWN of the s1-10 system. They should both match.
If s1-10 WWn is same as the host-id and the connections are showing online in the controller, then there is no problem with the controller.
Check for correct drivers in the system..

Re: HGS80 Array Controller Shard disk over to connections
- What server and operating system is involved?
- What does 'shared disk' over '2 connections' mean?
-- shared between 2 servers?
-- concurrent access from a single server with 2 FCAs?
-- concurrect access to 2 controller ports?
- Is this a HSG80 single- or dual-controller configuration?
""The problem is I can see the disk in S1-12 connection that means the server with a separate disk.""
What is that supposed to mean? How can you 'see' the disk? What utility did you use?
How do you know it does not show via the other path?
