switchs migration

Hello, i have a question, i have 2 swtich, 1 in production with ID 1 and another with only ip, and name, and i put the ID 2, don´t have any zone, if i connect with a fiber cable the fabric zone it´s will be expand? and copy the zone to the new switch?

Hi

yes if the domain ID is different the zone configuration should be copied to

the new switch. you can check if it works in CLI by issuing "switchshow"

command and see there is no error on the connected port.

this is the best way to migrate to a new switch. If you use WWN for zoning you just need to transfer the ports

one by one to the new switch.

Hello, thank you for your answer, now I have a problem, I have a switch A (prod) and switch B (prod), and New switch A and New switch B, the person who did the work, connected the switch A to New switch A (this is ok), but later connected Switch A to New Switch B, wrong connection.

Now i need to delete all the configuration in New Switch B, and do the wright connection, how should I do this task?

hi

to delete zoning configuration on a specific switch you need it 

to be standalone that is not connected to any switch.
