Failed drive on shelf, new drive not being seen
I have Insight Manager point out a failed drive on a 4314(?) not sure of shelf model.
I have replaced the drive, but it doesn't light up. When I open ACU and click on the array for the drive set, the drives don't blink. I also set the drive itself to blink, through the management agents, and it doesn't.
I have also placed the drive in a different slot on the shelf and the ACU doesn't see it.
The server no longer has maintenance on it, so I'm wondering what I can check to rememdy this.
Thanks.

Re: Failed drive on shelf, new drive not being seen
HOwdy,
Is the drive itself a "known good" drive.
Can you put it in another server to see if it works?
I think the 4314 is now what's known as an MSA30 - 14 disks across stood on their sides & scsi attached.
Let us know how you get on
HTH
