StorageWorks Mirroring Snaphots question
We use StorageWorks Mirroring 4.5.2. When we configure new connection by Connection Manager we can request snapshots of the target volume. This snapshot by default has an attribute "ClientAccessible". This attribute doesn't allow to map the snapshot by vshadow.exe to any volume letter like "M:" in Windows 2003 server. Is it possible to change the default attributes?

Re: StorageWorks Mirroring Snaphots question
Good question Sergey, and I'd love to know if you find the answer.
In the meantime, you can use DOSDEV.exe (an MS resource kit tool) to mount the snapshot to a drive letter.
i.e.:
dosdev H: \\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolumeShadowCopy12
From there you can use the SysInternals junction.exe tool to map the H:\ drive as a link to C:\Mountpoints\Snap12 etc
Hope that helps.

Re: StorageWorks Mirroring Snaphots question
HP replied that changing the snapshot attribute is not a feature of v 4.5.2. So it will not be possible to change this settings. In order to be able to do this, updating to v5.0 will be necessary.
I tested it and it works in v.5
