SN6700B FC Switch airflow - R6B06A
Is it possible to reverse the airflow on SN6700B switches by just swapping out the fans/PSU.
I have R6B06A but need the fans to be set up like R6B05A

Re: SN6700B FC Switch airflow - R6B06A
Hi Stevey89,
Depending on product numbers, the unit is shipped with Power supply and fans with appropriate Airflow direction. Depending on the Airflow requirement, you have an option to select a particular SKU for SN6700B:
Model details as per quick spec (https://www.hpe.com/psnow/doc/a50002550enw.html?jumpid=in_pdp-psnow-qs)
Description SKU
HPE SN6700B 64Gbps FC Switch with 32Gbps Short Wave Transceivers
HPE SN6700B 64Gb 56/24 24-port 32Gb Short Wave SFP28 Integrated Fibre Channel Switch R6B05A
HPE SN6700B 64Gb 56/24 24-port 32Gb Short Wave SFP28 Port Side Intake Integrated FC Switch R6B06A
HPE SN6700B 64Gbps FC Switch with 64Gbps Short Wave Transceivers
HPE SN6700B 64Gb 56/24 24-port 64Gb Short Wave SFP56 Fibre Channel Switch R7M13A
HPE SN6700B 64Gb 56/24 24-port 64Gb Short Wave SFP56 Port Side Intake Integrated FC Switch R7M14A
Unfortunately, there is no option to change the Airflow direction of a switch SKU. Changing both the power supply & fan with proper airflow direction might help in changing the airflow direction. However, this is neither recommended nor supported.
