Hi
Function type of network connection in synergy
I would assume that this is not cosmetic but real function for example if this connection is going to be used for iSCSI then function type is iSCSI of course fiber channel is fiber channel and everything else is ethernet
We are about to configure iSCSI so I would asume we should pick this iSCSI function to get offfloading
Solved! Go to Solution.

SolutionIf you require hardware iSCSI offload, including LUN assignment and/or Boot from SAN, then yes. Otherwise, an Ethernet connection can support iSCSI paths/volumes, and offer TOE (TCP Offload Engine) support native to adapters.
