HP NetServer LH Pro - Where do I start?

Five LH Pro's were given to me. Each server has at least two SCSI drives; some have all six. The drives have been scratch and I'd like to get the babies running so that I can donate them to my son's school and a church office who said they'd take them.

I do not have any experience with configuring this type of system. Where do I start?

Only think that can be differnet for you whether or not you have any RAID controllers in any of the boxes. If so then all the hot swap drives are probably attached to it.

First get the manual:

Get a copy of the configuration utility ECU. Make sure the BIOS(you can check the current on the first screen as they start) and any RAID controllers (after BIOS load and SCSI device scan by the onboard SCSI controller, you will see the RAID controller load it's BIOS if one is present) have the lastested Firmware.:

I noticed that the doc links provided above didn't work. I expect they got changed.

What o/s do you plan to put on these LH's? We can probably offer some tips specific to the o/s you want to install.
