Re: Temperature Hp Netserver LH4
If you are running Windows you can install the HP Instant Toptools and view the HP hardware log from within Windows.
To install Instant TopTools, go to:
http://www.hp.com/toptools/download/server_agents.html
Under other hp management tools, select: Instant TopTools 5.x (Eng.)
The downloaded exe file will launch an install wizard. Install and run the program. The HP log can be seen from the STATUS tab. There is also an option to clear the log.
You can also run the HP diagnostics on this LH4. Diags are available here:
http://h20004.www2.hp.com/soar_rnotes/bsdmatrix/matrix70270en_US.html
and select the first download option, for DiagTools.

Re: Temperature Hp Netserver LH4
Here are the things you need to check when you can down the server.
1. Blocked air vents (check back of server)
2. Server case off or not fully on. A cover missing. For adequate cooling, the full case should be on.
3. Visually check each fan in the server (you can run the server for short periods with the case off). Reconnect each fan. Clear any dust/debris with compressed air.
4. Are there any components in the server which are unusually hot?
The room temperature should of course not be too high. Is this server in an air-conditioned room? What is the current room temperature?
After checking all the above, use Instant TopTools to clear the HP log, then see if the error reoccurs.

Re: Temperature Hp Netserver LH4
2. How many CPUs are installed in this LH4?
3. What is the System BIOS version? If it is not current at 4.06.36PS, update it from here:
