CDE Login .dtprofile and .profile

For a shell im trying to setup some shell variables. seems like "stty ^?" in my .profile isnt being read in. and I've tryed putting that in .dtprofile.

what do i need to do to make CDE setup my .profile in a terminal window?

First you need to set DTSOURCEPROFILE=true
in .dtprofile. Look at the comments in .dtprofile and you will also see that
if possiblke tset and stty should be avoided.
