Ftp Connection time to be extend
Dear Experts
I am facing one problem.We need to transfer one file from one server to another server through ftp.That file it will take 3 to 3 1/2 hrs to complete While Transfering the file After one hour It gets terminating..In Which Parameter i need to do Modification..
inetd.conf or nddconf.....Pls help to me..I want to change Maximum Time out of connection upto 5 hrs..

or 'man ftpd' for details on timeout.
Do you have "-t 600" currently specified for ftpd line in inetd.conf? Also remember to 'inetd -c' if making any changes to /etc/inetd.conf.
One suggestion from the above thread is to turn hash on to avoid idle timeout.
