HP Cluster
Hello all,
I have automats which are connected to a HP9000 via the mux and does not function under DTC, I plan to use a HP cluster and I will like to know if there is a means to be able to manage the automatic switch of these automats. Thank you in advance.

Re: HP Cluster
While I am not exactly sure what your automats are, we deal with serial communications to devices in our cluster by using a Terminal Server. It basically allows the HP box to view the virtual serial ports created during the Terminal Server installation via a standard network connection. The startup and shutdown of the connection with these virtual serial ports is then controlled as part of the package in our cluster and migrated between the different hosts.
The terminal server we currently use is an EtherLite product which you can select from at their web site http://www.digi.com
Hope this helps you move forward with your plans
