ignite and itanium blade

I am trying to install HPUX 11.23 on a new blade. I have ignite server running (latest from Dec 2007) on another blade in the same enclosure (same subnet). When I use the EFI to try to boot, I get an error in the syslog saying "bootpd[25790]: recieved short bootp/dbcp packet (272 bytes read/300 bytes expected)" and on the EFI it says "PXE-E16: Valid PXE offer not received. Load of core LAN port 1 failed: not found."

Any ideas?

What is the boot command you used ?

How about dbprofile ?

shell>dbprofile

What does your entry in /etc/opt/ignite/instl_bootab look like ?

There is a problem if you do a

Shell> lanboot select

only and there is another DHCP server running.

Set up a dbprofile and use this to boot.
