Re: make issue on HP-UX
You do need a special character - on the "command" line of a make target - it must start with a
An example:
myprog: myprog.o

Re: make issue on HP-UX
Check for unprintable characters, e.g. ^M introduced while transferring a file from a PC to the server ...
Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Please provide a useful problem report.
Always interesting:
uname -a
Possibly interesting:
type make
Attach some actual files which demonstrate
the actual problem, and show the actual
command which you used, and its actual
output. (You can use Zip or "tar"+"gzip" to
get multiple files into one package.)
