Online diag?????

Where can i find the online diagnostics? I get all the CD's just can't find it on any of them.

The should be on the Support Plus / Quality Pack CD's (with the Patch Bundles).

They are a bit difficult to locate. Rather than appearing as a software depot on the Application disks, they are in a special directory called DIAGNOSTICS on the SupportPlus CD, the one you get every quarter (or you can download it from http://www.software.hp.com/SUPPORT_PLUS/

The file is actually a tape image and the name is the revision. You still use swinstall to add the diagnostics, just select tape as the source and point to the filename. There are two PDF files in that directory to provide documentation.

Hi,

It's on the SupportPlus CD under DIAGNOSTICS.

With the CD mounted at /cdrom for instance you need to run:

swinstall -s /cdrom/DIAGNOSTICS/B.????

where ???? is the relevant HP-UX version number. Then select onlinediag.

thanks everyone. i was looking thru the Application CDs and not the support CD
