password synchonisation (Windows SERVICES for UNIX)
I'm installing MicroSoft Sercives for UNIX 2.0, and more exactly (only) password synchronisation onto my NT-server and HP-UX NIS-server.
This product can synchronise the password-changes in both directions.
I already configured it and the direction NT -> UNIX works fine.
The other way UNIX -> NT not yet at the moment.
Can somebody help me ?
I already installed the pam_sso.hp.1 in the /usr/lib/security directory.
I added a line to the /etc/pam.conf-file :
other password required /usr/lib/security/pam_sso.hp.1
The sso (Single Sign On Daemon) is running om my system (NIS-server), but still the password isn't changed on my NT-domain when I change the password on my NIS-server. I don't even see an error in the event-logging on my NT-server.
Has anybody installed this "Password Synchronisation" mechanism ?
Kind regards,
Chris MARREEL

Re: password synchonisation (Windows SERVICES for UNIX)
I have found the solution myself, but I'm taking a few moments to document it because it is not that easy to find.
In the MicroSoft documentation they instruct to add a line "other password required /usr/lib/security/pam_sso.hp.1" to the "/etc/pam.conf"-file.
I have found that this must be add a line "passwd password required /usr/lib/security/pam_sso.hp.1" to the "/etc/pam.conf"-file.
after this the password-synchro is working perfectly between UNIX and NT.
