port 62608 (IPC Cannot Connect)

I am getting almost every day this message "Cannot connect to Media Agent on system backupclient, port 62608 (IPC Cannot Connect) from a particular client I am trying to backup.

I have in my .omnirc OB2PORTRANGE=5555-6000.

the port number varies but it is always 5 digits. I do not want to open up ports up to 63000 (or five digits), is there a way I can restrict the port the client tries to communicate with data protector?
