Problem with password

Hi!
I have a server type HP-UX n10750 B.11.00 A 9000/800 and it,s not running in trusted mode
and have now restrictions when I look at the
user in sam. The user get this message, password must contain at least two alphabetic characters and at least one numeric or
character. where dose this restriction come
from.

Michael,

Those restrictions can be set up in /etc/default/security. Try doing a man on "security".

That's the default behaviour: see "man passwd"

I don't have a /etc/default/security file
and I do not have any man page for security

It's not all the users on the server ho
have dose restrictions and when i compare
the user's I can't see any difference.

See man page for passwd.1

Just open file as,
/etc/default/security

and put the informations on that and save that file. Some time the file will not be there.
Easy to suggest when don't know about the problem!

Attachment contains security man page 4.

We can not manage user based one .. It will be for every one there when changing passwd.
