Questions on fbackup
Iwant to take a backup of one file system from box A AND RESTORE in to box B
I tried with fabckup and restored but there are some files missing??
fbackup -i /var/opt/omni -f /dev/rmt/omn
frestore -Xx -i /var/opt/omni -f /dev/rmt/omn
Above are the commnads i used.
Any help is greatly appreciated

I hope you didn't use /dev/rmt/omn! If you did, the backup went into your /dev directory rather than to your tape device, which is /dev/rmt/0m.

No It was typo. I used /dev/rmt/0mn.
I able to restore to other box but everytime I restore some files are missing.

It is possible some files were open to other applications when you ran the fbackup, so the files were not put on the tape.
Do-
frecover -xNv -f /dev/rmt/0m >/tmp/tapelist
To get a list of files on the backup tape.
Why are you using the no-rewind version of your tape device? fbackup/frecover expect to start out with rewound tapes.
