Using rcp, I can copy a file from a Sun solaris 8 system to an HPUX 11 system.
What I cannot do is:
a) copy a single test file from HP to Sun
b) rcp from the HP to grab a file from the Sun
I have edited .rhosts and /etc/hosts.equiv and added "+" everywhere...
Summary is as follows:
Sun> rcp file Hp:/tmp (WORKS)
HP> rcp file Sun:/tmp (FAILS)
HP> rcp Sun:/tmp/file . (FAILS)
Any ideas - this must be very obvious but I cannot see what the problem is.
Help appreciated!
Dave

Re: rcp - From Sun to HP is ok but not other way round
Thanks - that did it!
An obvious one I suppose, but not when you are not thinking straight!
Thanks for the response - no further responses required.
