no, pls d'not touch that directory "patches are registred. something like that" if your remove later you can't remove the patches any more
consider running & man cleanup
#clenup -c2

yups don do anything wirh sw directory.
before running cleanup please take backup of your server, in case if u ever need to remoe some patches, very rare.
if cleanup -c 2 does not help.
run cleanup -c 1
it would remove all the patched which are superceded once.
man cleanup
