I'm planning to migrate MSA storage which currently connected to HP serviceguard 2-node cluster running hpux 11i v1. my new storage will be EVA which is connected through a new san switch.
To do so. is there any configuration should be done "e.g cluster config. / package config. / OS configuration." to migrate the storage. or just doing the following tasks?
1- create LUNs in the EVA and representing them to the servers.
2- bring the cluster down and export the current non-root Volume-groups then create new VGs with the new represented LUNs from EVA.
3- recover vg01,vg02,.. to the newly created LUNS.
4- bring the cluster up.
please advice
Thanks

SolutionThe better option would be mirror the vg's to new array and reduce the vg's from old array. This would reduce your downtime as well.
After doing this activity just export the VG in preview mode to create a map file and import the VG on the alternate node.
Here is explained in detailed manner..
