Re: statdaemon

Hi,

Statdaemon is a kernel process which runs approximately once per second. It checks and updates process and virtual memory states, such as signal queueing, free protection ids and memory locks. It also calls schedcpu() to recalculate process/thread priorities.

Regards,

James.

Re: statdaemon

'statdaemon' is part of the HP-UX process management group. It is a general-purpose kernel process run once per second to check and update process and virtual memory artifacts, such as signal queueing and free protection IDs. Calls schedcpu() to recompute thread priorities and statistics.

Have a look here for further information.

Re: statdaemon

hi,

to add to the replies above,
also note that patch PHKL_24577 constains enhancements added to statdaemon to make schedcpu and load balancers work within processor set domain when Processor sets product is enabled.
