sudo question
I have a question about sudo. I am a juniour unix admin and I have worked in two hpux environments. The first environment was using sudo for user authentication and logging on to servers. The second organization I am working with they dont use sudo. They simply have standard users as well as root users created for different unix admins. Lets say my name is Imran so my root id is root-i and I login as root-i to do system activities.
My question is that what are the advantages of using sudo over the second approach? What are the pros and cos of using sudo? I need some explanation in this regard. What approach is better, sudo approach or the second one like making root user for every unix admin.
