Unable to send mails to external address
Hi,
I would like to send mails to any external address from HP-UX 11 using the sendmail feature.
I've defined the mail server address under /etc/hosts file. Also configured the sendmail.cf. We've 2 HP-UX 11.0 Servers. Similar configuration works fine on one Server and not on the other.
Any idea, what am I missing.
Thanks In Advance,
Hari

Re: Unable to send mails to external address
Hari,
Did u check the sendmail.cf entry for mail relay host entry
it will start with DS.
And if you have configured it try restarting the sendmail daemon.
Cheers

Re: Unable to send mails to external address
Hi,
If you are having firewalls, you would want to check the outbound rules as well to see if SMTP traffic from this particular server has been allowed through the firewalls.
Hope this helps. Regards.
