X/Motif/CDE

We are running hpux11.0 on a L1000.

Where can I find the Motif2.1 include files?

I am missing include files "Dt/ComboBox.h, Dt/SpingBox.h, Dt/Help.h from the CDE develpoment environment.

Do I need additional products or are they bundled or free?

I believe the Motif/CDE development libraries and headers are included in the ANSI C bundle, an optional product.

You can download the Motif stuff free now, its part of;

You can download it somewhere but I cant find where at the moment. If you reply with your email I will email it to you.

On its way. Its 16MB gzipped but via email I had to uuencode it so it will be a lot larger. I hope your email limit on your server can cope with it.

Stefan, has this been released recently? I looked on software.hp.com and devresource.hp.com and the only thing I woulc find was a reference the product that you mentioned, but for HPUX 11.11.

I cant find it on those sites either. Theres a purchaseable version on software.hp.com ! but I have received this from someone in HP only a few months ago;

You can pick up the libraries in depot form from opensource.cup.hp.com with anon. ftp. The file is; dist/hppa/release-2000-12-15/hp.swinstall.depot.

I dont know yet if there has been a policy change or what. This bundle only contains the Motif stuff. It seems silly for someone to have to purchase the full ANSI/C compiler (expensive) just to get the Motif stuff. But then again the Motif stuff is priced a lot cheaper. Im confused. I managed to download a free copy when it was going anyway.

Thanks for the info. Yeah, I agree, it does seem exteremely silly to charge for these libraries/headers, especially considering the fact that the source is actually available free of charge, i.e.
