Can't write to read-only device on MSA500

Hi,

We have 2 DL380s and a MSA500 with dual controllors and dual paths

We have shared cluser disks running OCFS

We are getting the following error messages when we start the machine with CRS enabled

"
Cant't write to read-only device 09:02
Cant't write to read-only device 09:01
Cant't write to read-only device 09:03
Cant't write to read-only device 09:00
"

After above error messages machine goes for reboot

Can anyone help solving this problem?

Thanks in advance,
Pratik

Hi,

As per the attached file the error is showing in Redhat linux
But this is a HP Forum you have to get help from RedHat Linux Forum.

Re: Can't write to read-only device on MSA500

Shalom,

Thank you for posting to HP-UX Unix forums.

This is a common problem when a disk device is discovered, set up and then removed.

It has no impact on the system and the message can be ignored.

If you wish, you can try to remove the device, but more than likely it will come back.

Re: Can't write to read-only device on MSA500

Hi Shalom,

The problem is machine keeps rebooting after this message.

If I disable CRS, this message is also not displayed and machine does not go for reboot.
