LJ 8100 PostScript Staple command

We have an 8100 with the 3000 sheet stacker/stapler. I have been able to modify postscript files to duplex and collate correctly but none of the staple commands seem to work. Reading the ppd files, I would have thought this would work:

<< /Staple 2 /StapleDetails
<< /Type 8
/Portrait true
/StapleOption (ONEANGLED)
>>
>> setpagedevice


It doesn't. I've searched high and low on the hp site and cannot seem to find a solution.

We have the same problem on the LaserJet 9000.
