Re: Dataretrieve
About all I know about DATATRIEVE is how to spell it, but...

> Can't open display
And your display is?
show display
Documentation:
http://h30266.www3.hpe.com/odl/i64lp/databases/dtr073/datrieve.htm
Of which, the "VAX DATATRIEVE Guide to Interfaces" seems to cover this
sort of thing:
http://h30266.www3.hpe.com/odl/i64lp/databases/dtr073/AA_PNY4A_TE.PDF
Look for "1.1 Preparing to Use DATATRIEVE in a DECwindows Environment".
If you're expecting to use a DECwindows interface, then you'll need to
use "SET DISPLAY" to set your display to some working X display. If
not, then you might want to define DTR$NOWINDOWS. Otherwise, use:
dtr /interface = character_cell ! ("HELP DTR"?)
And, of course, a VMS forum would be a better place for this question
than a "General Feedback and Suggestions" forum.
