CD-Writer HP 8230e problems continue...
Hello all,
I have got W2K, all SP2 and critical components have been installed.
Problem N.
When I do a W2K Complete System Backup (not HP Simple Backup, which I do not like by some reason) I am getting an error message ?E: is not a valid drive or you do not have access?. I was working with DirectCD formatted CD-RW?s which are perfectly accessible and visible by MS Windows Explorer on E:
Problem N+1.
Every time I insert a CD into the Writer, the Writer sets up the write speed to x4 (OK!) and the read speed to x32 (incorrect, too high for HP 8230e). To work normally I manually change the properties to x4 and x4 (no x6 option ! :-( ) or even x1 and x1 on the Task Bar. How do I change the default parameters to avoid constant manual amendments?
Thank you in advance,
HP customer
