Re: /storage/events/disks/default/* ----> Critical (5)

What does 'dmesg' or /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log say?

Where is this message coming up?

Hi,

Please post a sample of the full message.
You will most likely see this message in
'dmesg', /var/adm/syslog.log and 'root
mail. It could mean you have a defective
disk.

Re: /storage/events/disks/default/* ----> Critical (5)

The message is comming from the EMS (Event Monitoring System. If you in /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log at the full message it will probably advise you to run a command similar to the following:
/opt/resmon/bin/resdata -R 975962138 -r /storage/events/disks/default/8_8.4.0 -n 975962114 -a.

Running the command should give you more details about the fault. Also possibly your root mail account might have the details as our system mails root when such events occure.
I don't want to alarm you but normally these indicate some kind of hardware incident either currently or pending.
