Storage of DVDs when mailing

I recently purchased a 60 pack of Hewlett Packard DVD-Rs. I plan to record on all 60 and then to mail it overseas. I prefer not to individually package each DVD but to instead place them on the original holder and thick plastic encasing (one Piece)as it was sold to me.

Questions:

1. Do you see any problem placing each DVD on top of the other while they are being mailed? Will this damage them?

2. If they pass through an x-ray machine while in transport, will this do damage to the DVDs?

3. Would you trust the US customs by labelling the contents as DVDs? or is that a good way to have them stolen by customs officials?

To enclose 60 individual casings for each DVD I send overseas will considerably add to the size of the package and I wish to avoid having to do this.

Any feedback/suggestions is much appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help you may provide.
