Adding new FBWC card after installing OS

Hi All,

 

About 6 months ago I brought a brand new ML350p Gen8 server but unfortunately I ran out of budget to purchase a FBWC card.  Now I have some spare cash I'd like to add a FBWC card but I am wondering if this would be a straight forward plug-in-play and assign the necessary in the array bios or would I need to re-install the entire OS.

 

Thanks for any input you guys (and girls) may have.

hi,

 

You don't need to reinstall the OS. Just power off the server and install the FBWC.

 

Backup is always good.
