Casading IP Console Switches (KVM)

Hi, thinking of purchasing the IP Console switches.

When cascading HP IP Console switches, does anyone know if the network cable you use to connect (cascade) to the other IP Console switches can be plugged into a normal network switch (eg. Cisco or HP type switch)

Or

Does cascading only work if the network cable is connected directly into the other IP console switch?
