CD-rom hangs and Iso CD-Rom doesn't boot

What to do in this case:

The CD-ROM drive 'hangs'. The light in front of the drive keeps going on/of but nothing happens. Inside is a maintenance disk 8.50. There is no OS system present. The server keeps rebboting every 5 seconds. The release button (from the CD-ROM drive doesn't respond)

The server is a DL 380 G4.
I'm new to this, an amature..Please advise!

you should change your drive and test it again. i think your drive dont work good.

The title of your message says "ISO CD-Rom". Did you download the ISO image for the maintenance CD? If so, did you just copy the ISO image to the CD media, or did you "burn" the ISO image to the media? If you just created a CD with a copy of the .iso image it won't boot.

To check. put the CD in another system and look at the contents on the disk. If it just contains the .iso file you will need to install software on a PC that will allow you to "burn" the image to CD media.

I burned the ISO file with Nero. The drive seems to run in a 'loop'. Rebooting gives no result...
