DL360G6 / Smart Array P410i / numbering bay / numbering hard drives front
hello,
the system management show me on the Physical Drive - Port 1I Box 1 Bay 7 status failed.
i have a raid 1 with 2 hard drives. on both hard drives the blue led blinks. nothing happens when i
press the identify drive button.
the hard drives installed in port (bay) 1 and 2 (front-numbering)
what is the front-number from the drive Port 1I Box 1 Bay 7?
thank you for your support

Re: DL360G6 / Smart Array P410i / numbering bay / numbering hard drives front
If you are in ACU (SSA), the selected disks are always blue.
If you select logical view and select the array - all disks of the array are blue.
If you change to physical view and select a single disk, only this disk is blue.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: DL360G6 / Smart Array P410i / numbering bay / numbering hard drives front
i talk about the blue leds on the hard drive. my problem is to identify the right (defekt) hard drive.
who is the failed Physical Drive Bay 7.
is it in the port 1 or the port 2 of the server (i talk about the numbers on the front of the server)
the bay numbering from the controller is different to the numbering of the server's front

Re: DL360G6 / Smart Array P410i / numbering bay / numbering hard drives front
If you select this disk in ACU (SSA) only this disk LED will be blue.
However, the disks are numbered from left to right in the lower row from 1 to 4, in the upper row 5 to 8 from left to right (compare to the user guide).
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: DL360G6 / Smart Array P410i / numbering bay / numbering hard drives front
However, the disks are numbered from left to right in the lower row from 1 to 4...
i saw that in the manual. our hard drives are installed in the hard drive bays 1 and 2 (see the attachment)
this is the info in the system management and acu:
Physical Drive - Port 1I Box 1 Bay 7 status failed.

Re: DL360G6 / Smart Array P410i / numbering bay / numbering hard drives front
Could you start ACU, switch to physical view and take a screenshot?
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: DL360G6 / Smart Array P410i / numbering bay / numbering hard drives front
Try to select each of the disk and it will turn the blue led on.
Maybe the internal SAS cables are mixed so it is showing wrong bay numbering?
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
