DL365 - no system management switch on main board...

I need to reset an administration password of Proliant DL365 server.

After reading service manual I was ready to turn system management switch S6 to ON - but!!!

It is not a switch there on mainboard - just 7 naked pins in the air!

How can I turn this "switch" ON? Short circuit pin6 to the ground? Or to +5V?

When it should be done? During POST?

Now they are all OFF as I can guess... :smileyindifferent:

Wow!

After second (really - fourth) look I have located REAL SW1 switch. It is 5 cm to the back side from 7 pins and is very small.

And that pins - is only test points or someting alike with big "SW1" label painted on mainboard near them.

Anyway, I need to practice more with servers...
