DL380 G7 16x PCI-E Riser Kit Question
I recently installed the 494323-B21 riser kit to add an nVidia Quadro P600. I'm trying to pass it through to a gust OS with ESXi. I set up DirectPath I/O to pass the card through, added it to the VM, installed the drivers, and it shows up in device manager but is reporting that the device reported a problem so Windows disabled it. I'm trying to figure out why that is. This riser has a 10-pin to what looks like PCI-E power cable that came with it. I wasn't sure what to do with it. Do I connect this to the motherboard somewhere to feed extra power through the slot? Is this just a PCI-E power cable to connect to a PCI-E card if it has a power connector on it? This video card draws 45 watts and has no external power connector.
