Hi Guys,
Does anyone knows what are the Consecuences of enablin Virtual NIC Option in the Security Menue Tab Access Settings of iLO5?
What is it used for ?

The Article you wrote is very interesting but it is looking at the server as a cluster NODE.
Could You resume it in some words more konkrete !
In my case the new server which has to be configured will not be a cluster node. Just a file server . Somewhere just read that the virtual NIC in the iLO setting has to be disabled but without explanation. I wanted to know why as long as DHCP is deactivated.

I don't know what else to say, Cluster or not the result is the same.
The OS sees a new Virtual NIC and whatever can happen with this.
Maybe a Driver, Service, or Firewall detects this NIC and tries to connect, or most times nothing happens.
