HP P410i change drive cage

Hello, I have ML350 G6 and ML350 G8.
G6 has P410i with cage for 8 2.5" sas drives and G8 has p420i with cage for 6 normal sized sas drives. I would like to keep using G6 since it has faster cpu but load it with cage from G8 so i can use 300 GB drives I have. for the G6 cage i have only 146 GB drives so its small. I dont need to keep any data since I already backed everything up to elsewhere. Would it be possible to use the G8 cage in the G6? They have same connectors.

Hi,

Connctors may be the same but part numbers of the cages are different and may not fit from Gen8 to G6.
You may refer to the server QuickSpecs and Spare Parts list for compatibility.
