Hello.
I have a brand new HPE proliant microserver gen10 plus v2.
Out of the box the Power on/Standby button only stays in Amber.
Nothing happend when I push it.
I have tried CMos reset, taking the System battery and power adptor out for 12hrs, disconnected everything except power adaptor but no luck.
Any ideas what to do next?
Regards
Lillebror

Hmm.. Not sure what to do here
Change System battery?
Well.. I have done that now, still nothing happens when I push the Power Button
No fan starting, no Bios showing, no nothing.
Dead as a Dodo, except from one glowing (Solid Amber) Power Button

Re: Query: HPE Microserver gen10 plus v2 - DOA?
Hello,
If there is any thrid party component installed, then remove it and check.
Having changed the system battery, you may consider restoring the server's configuration to the manufacturing defaults. To do so, you need to power off the server, remove the power cable from the power supply and remove the server's access panel., Then identify the system maintenance switch on the system board. You may refer to the diagram "System board components" for locating it.
Once identified, set the system maintenance switch position 6 is set to the On position and close the server access panel connect the power supply and power it on. If there is a message that indicates that a system maintenance switch is in "On" position and needs to be reversed, then power the server off, remove the power cable from the power supply and reverse switch position 6 to it default position "Off".

Re: Query: HPE Microserver gen10 plus v2 - DOA?
Hi.
No thrid party components.
I took it straight out of the box.
I did the "switch position 6" thing and got a change.
Now, after about 20 seconds the Power Button starts flashing green.
Nothing more hapends. I still can't start it, but it's at least a change
Cheers,
Lillebror

SolutionHello Lillebror,
As you have cleared the CMOS, reset server to factory defaults, and with no third party cards, the server still not starting, it would be recommended to contact HPE Support for further assistance by creating a case. Please document all the steps performed, and the result of each step so that HPE Support engineer is able to identify the issue.
