Hi,
I have two dl380g10 servers that I connect via a HPE547FLR-QSFP adapter.
The adapter is a 40/50G dual port adapter.
I wanted to connect both ports each to the other server with a 40G DAC cable.
However, only port2 seems to work on both cards. I have tried connecting the two ports in different setups (two identical DAC cables) 1-2, 2-1, 1-1, 2-2.
In the end only the connection from port2 to other server on port2 works.
In Windows Server 2022, port 1 always shows that no cable is connected.
Are both adapters defective?
MfG
Lars

Re: HPE547FLR Port1 not connected
- The likelihood of one port failing on both cards is minimal.
- Given that you've already conducted tests with multiple cables, the next step is to swap the HPE547FLR-QSFP adapter between the servers to see if the issue remains consistent.
- If the problem persists with the same port after swapping adapters, it is advisable to raise a support ticket with HPE.
- This will enable HPE to analyze the logs and provide you with a suitable Plan of Action (POA) to address the connectivity problem.
