ML350 G5- System board Quadcore support

Dear guys,
I have installed a Quad-core E5430 on an systemboard with PN:395566-001.
The Server does not boot, because it says that not support this processor. Is there any soft/firmware-update, that can fix this problem?
Or do we need to change system board.
If someone has an idea, please post me.

Install the old CPU. Do a firmware upgrade. The E5430 is listed on the quickspecs. It could be your firmware is too old.

Hello Michael,

thx for your answer.
I have installed one of the latest firmware CD´s v.8.70.
At Server startup the BIOS recoginze the processor, but then a error message appears:
Intel 5000Z does not support installed processor.

Any idea, how to fix this problem?

System board with tray and screws, supports Intel Xeon 50xx, 51xx processors and PATA optical drives. (Assembly number: 395566-001)1 413984-001 Optional2

It only support 5000 and 5100 series


You needed to get:
System board with tray and screws, supports Intel Xeon 52xx, 53xx, 54xx processors and PATA optical drives. (Assembly number: 395566-002)1 439399-001 Optional2
