Multi processor upgrade questions
I currently have a 1500R with a dual 166 processors and 256 Meg of ram. This configuration works fine. I recently purchased a 6/200 flexsmp with 32 Meg and I am having problems installing it. On boot up the server detects the processors as 00 MHz and then I get a 178 error. I called Compaq today and they told me to clear the config by setting jumper 6 on the system board to on then boot the server (this clears the config) then change the switch to off and reboot???Well I have the same results can anyone help me. I???m extremely new to server world???
