p410i array extension on bigger disks

sitrep:

dl360 g6 with p410i, 256Mb memory and battery backup, 2 array's of 146Gb in raid 1.

I replaced the 146Gb of array B with a 600Gb disk, rebuild array B,

then replaced the other 146Gb with a 600Gb, rebuild array.

I want to resize the logical drive on that array to the max using cli using command ctrl slot=0 ld 2 modify size=max,

this operation fails with message:

This operation is not supported with the current configuration. use the "show" command on devices to show additional details about the configuration.

what am I missing, can this not be done ?
