pcie riser Compatibility On HP DL380 G8 and HP DL380 G9

I own an HP DL380 G8, the default pcie risers on the server cannot support 2-Slot GPUs, as the only x16 slot is at the very top of the riser.

Hp does sell a Riser made for the DL380 G8,

https://www.ebay.com/itm/295255359107

but it is out of my price range.

I noticed that the DL380 G9 has a Riser that would support a 2-slot GPU (much Cheaper),

https://www.ebay.com/itm/234486672024

but I do not know if it is compatible.

if anyone knows if this riser would be compatible, or if there is a better option that would cost less than 30ish dollars, please let me know.

Hi,

There are two versions of DL380 Gen8 and there are some differences between the slots and compatibility.  Please refer to the QuickSpecs of the servers and see if the card you are referring to is compatible between the generations.

ProLiant DL380e Generation 8 (Gen8).
ProLiant DL380p Generation8 (Gen8).
ProLiant DL380 Gen9 Server.
