Proliant BL685c G7 Power Settings for SQL Server with Clustering

Hi,

I understand great benefits can be seen with VMWare and XenServer when you amend the Power Regulator setting to HP "Static High Performance Mode" and the Power Profile to "Maximum Performance" within the BIOS.

Does anyone know what the recommendation is when it comes to SQL Clusters, can you set the same settings and expect performance improvements or should you use different options?

Hello,

I doubt there is recomendation for any kind of situation. This is great task to test. As changing the seting is simply about reboting server to bios, you can test impact to your enviroment very easy and choose to best settings.
